Each year, the Ron Clark Academy (RCA) partners with teams of corporate and donor volunteers to create a beautiful new space for deserving students. To kick off the competition, students participated in a school-wide essay contest for the chance to receive a brand new bedroom. After reading through dozens of applications, judges selected deserving students to receive an extreme bedroom makeover.
The goal is to ensure that all RCA students have a quiet, adequate and inspiring space in their home that will increase academic performance, innovation and relaxation.
Participating teams volunteer their time and talents to create this space in the homes of the selected students. This year Randy (our owner), our carpenters/framers as well as a bunch of others donated their time and talents to make a very lucky Ron Clark Academy 12 year old student, and his mom with whom he shares a room with, very happy.
The ScottStrong T-shirts the team wore are a dedication to one of Randy’s best friends, who passed away last year, that dedicated a lot of his heart to this beautiful school. New paint, built-in shelves, new doors, new carpet, new bedding and new canned lights…ALL THIS IN 2 1/2 days! Happy Holidays!!
